Primary Therapist
Cynthia was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she developed a deep appreciation for community and mental health advocacy. She come from a Mexican background, where Spanish was her first language, and her heritage has deeply shaped her values and approach to supporting others. In 2020, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Health from the University of Utah. Building on this foundation, she pursued a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Phoenix, graduating in 2024.
With a passion for supporting adolescents and families, she began her journey at Elevations RTC, initially working as a direct care staff member and later as a community director. These roles provided her with valuable experience in fostering resilience and growth in youth. She later transitioned into a clinical role, where she applied therapeutic approaches such as DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, Client-Centered, and Trauma-Informed Care. Her multicultural background and bilingual skills allow her to connect with individuals from diverse experiences and create an inclusive, supportive environment for healing. In addition to her professional work, she enjoy spending time with her family and cooking meals—because in another lifetime, “I’m sure I would be a food critic!” She also love going on walks with her “human” dog, Luna, who always keeps life fun and full of adventure.
