HELP YOUR CHILD REDISCOVER THE PERSON THEY ARE

As one of the premier depression recovery centers, we recognize the need for students to explore new leisure habits and skills. Building skills from the ground up promotes student success.

No matter where a student is with their skills in snowboarding, biking, kayaking or rock climbing, recreation specialists help students feel comfortable and provide coaching in order for students to continue their learned habits after graduation.

When students leave their comfort zone and find success we find it helps them grow.  These structured experiences created at Elevations are part of the the reason we are one of the leading depression recovery centers.

Encouraging an Active Lifestyle

Students engage in cross training, a variety of sports and activities such as volleyball, soccer, softball, and basketball; they also choose a recreational club to be a member of every 12 weeks. This focus on being active and engaged contributes to students’ overall health and wellness. In turn, this improves their outlook, which is part of the focus of depression recovery centers.

“At Elevations we get a chance to connect with students at our program on campus, and off campus…We routinely do 5K and off campus activities which allows us to really connect with the students.” – Jaime, Team Director

Experiential Learning

What makes Elevations one of the premier depression recovery centers?  Camping trips, weekly outings that focus on experiential opportunities and community service often come to be the most talked about and exciting part of our students’ weekly schedule.

These activities are more than just an opportunity to get off campus, they provide an important part of our therapeutic goals– to help students experience new things, build confidence, and practice their skills from Elevations outside our residential setting.
