ACADEMICS
/Ac.a.dem.ic/
n.noun
Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines Academics as: of or relating to a college, academy, school, or other educational institution, especially one for higher education. Academics are a person’s education from an institution, school or otherwise. Elementary, high school and college are the basic institutions where an individual learns academic material. Needless to say, an individual’s personal and financial success greatly depends upon their achievements in academics.
Academics are a very crucial part of adolescence that, unfortunately, goes mostly ignored by struggling teens. Troubled adolescents generally don’t see the significance of academics and instead, put their time and efforts into all of the wrong areas. In short, struggling teens care about having fun and view academics as a nuisance, an obstacle instead of the powerful tool that it truly is.
Parents of struggling teens who have fallen behind in academics can trust in the therapeutic services of residential treatment to repair, restore and provide overall significance of academics for their child.
