The term treatment team describes a group of mental health professionals who work as a team within a residential treatment program. A treatment team is in charge of providing therapeutic treatment to individual teens.

The make-up of any treatment team generally includes the following therapeutic staff: psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, family therapists, teachers, nurses and unit supervisors. The mission of this team is to psychologically evaluate individual teens and create a comprehensive treatment program, entirely unique to the individual’s psychological disorders.
