The Campus Sweetheart
Gus has been a beloved part of campus life for 8½ years—which also happens to be his age (and yes, he’s a Sagittarius, naturally social and charming). From the moment he trots through the doors each day, Gus takes his self-appointed role as the campus greeter very seriously. Whether it’s kids, staff, or visitors, everyone gets a warm welcome from this gentle soul.
He’s rarely seen without his signature yellow tennis ball—his comfort item of choice. Sometimes he’ll play a quick game of fetch, but mostly he just carries it around proudly or shows it off to his favorite people. At night, he swaps it for a fuzzy rainbow ball, which he cuddles with as he snoozes.
Gus is deeply loyal to his best dog pal Moose—they’ve grown up side by side on campus—but in his heart, Gus is a people dog through and through. He adores the kids, snuggles up to anyone who needs a little comfort, and is often “checked out” by staff to support students during therapy. He’s especially fond of Tamra, Judi, and just about every human he meets.
