Types of Therapy
HELP STUDENTS REDISCOVER THEIR TRUE SELVES
At Elevations RTC, we utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to provide our students with the tools they will need for successful change. These include:
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Can help your child find the language to begin to extinguish internal conflict. This therapy helps children develop numerous skills they can use to begin experiencing feelings of failure, shame, depression, and anger.
The 12 Step Model
With the 12 Step Model, your child can begin to internalize values and gain an understanding of how their actions extend beyond the present moment and how they see themselves in that moment.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Provides your child with the skills that will help empower them to challenge negative beliefs and feelings they may hold about themselves, others, or the world.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Facilitates students accessing and processing traumatic memories in order to bring about resolution and stronger, more positive associations.
Specialty Groups help students explore thoughts and feelings such as:
- Co-ed interactions and perspectives
- Trauma that your child has experienced
- Strengthening social skills and self-esteem
- Art therapy
Therapeutic Benefits of a Co-Ed, Community Environment
A co-educational milieu setting allows students to normalize relationships and learn alongside members of the opposite sex in a controlled environment. Co-ed inpatient depression treatment centers make it easier for students to transition into a traditional school environment where they will be expected to work and interact with peers of the opposite sex.
Everyone at inpatient depression treatment centers is part of an intentional community approach. At inpatient depression treatment centers, students are split into smaller communities comprised of other students, lead therapist, academic advisor, and administrative staff. This community-within-a-community allows us a level of comprehensive personalization we would otherwise be unable to achieve. These communities within a community can become like your teen’s family during their time at Elevations.
Inpatient depression treatment centers allow struggling teens to find themselves once again. 24/7 support ensures that a child always has a network of support. The community approach to treatment brings a down-to-earth sense to therapy. Instead of simply being another “patient”, a child becomes a part of a family.
Since no two children are the same, all therapeutic approaches at inpatient depression treatment centers are different. A wide range of activities lets struggling children build vital skills and strategies that they can use for the rest of their lives. Inpatient depression treatment centers help troubled teens return to a healthy path toward a happy future.
