Lisa Adams

Denali Team Teacher – English


Lisa Adams is a native of Utah. She is married and they are a former military family. Her family has lived all over the country as well as spent time in German. Lisa has a bachelor’s degree in Mild/Moderate Special Education from Weber State University and a bachelor’s degree in Severe Special Education from Utah State University. She also has a master’s degree in English as a Second Language from Teflin International University. Lisa has worked in schools for most of her adult life, working in special education and reading programs in mostly inner-city schools.

She has worked in several programs using John Hopkins reading methods and teaching research programs and was on the ground floor of the discrete trial method and Applied Behavioral Analysis. Lisa appreciates working at Elevations where students can get the help they need to become healthy again. She loves watching these students grow and is incredibly happy to be part of the process. Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 children and 5 grandchildren as well as her two dogs Sam and Rigby!
