Meet Matt Seelos, LCSW

Matt is a Primary Therapist here at Elevations. His impressive 20 years of experience in the mental health field strongly supports our teams’ high-quality interdisciplinary care for families.

Specialized training from EMDRIA and ongoing certification efforts in EMDR showcase Matt’s commitment to staying at the forefront of therapeutic advancements. His dedication extends to aiding individuals with Executive Functioning, Nonverbal Learning Disorder (NLD), and ADD/ADHD, with insights gained from the CHADD World Conference.

With a depth of insight honed over years of experience, Matt is adept at the intricacies of how traumatic experiences can reverberate through one’s mental and emotional landscape. His therapeutic repertoire extends to encompass, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sandplay Therapy, and psychoanalytic Jungian Therapy. This broad spectrum allows Matt to tailor his approach to each individual’s unique journey.

A staunch advocate for inclusivity, Matt ensures he stays abreast of the latest strategies to support transgender individuals, regularly attending the Gender Education and DeMystification Symposium (GEMS).



Matt’s academic journey led him to the University of Utah, where he earned a bachelor’s in Psychology and continued to achieve a Masters in Social Work. His diverse career has unfolded across various therapeutic treatment settings, from group homes to acute psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and managing an outpatient private practice.
