Meet Kim Williams-Redmond, CMHC
Kim is a Primary Therapist here at Elevations who blends education, experience, and a deep commitment to adolescent mental health. Since joining Elevations in 2014, Kim has been a cornerstone of our community.
Kim specializes in addressing trauma, attachment, anxiety, depression, treatment-resistant cases, and issues unique to the LGBTQIA population, along with navigating family system difficulties.
Her continued dedication and wealth of expertise render her an invaluable asset, significantly influencing those in her care.
Since 1995, Kim has been dedicated to mental health, initially supporting victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Beginning at Coker University, she earned a Bachelor’s in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work and a Minor in Psychology and Dance. Her roles in the residential setting have spanned from Direct Care Staff to Team Director and Residential Program Director. In 2011, she expanded her expertise by completing a Masters in Mental Health Counseling.
Kim’s therapeutic toolkit also includes training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These modalities enrich her ability to provide nuanced and effective care to our students.
